Name – Andrew Roberson
I went to Liverpool University where I obtained a degree in Chemistry and Oceanography. However for the next 29 years I worked for International Computers Limited ( ICL) which was latterly bought out by Fujitsu Services . I originally joined the company as a Trainee programmer and in my last years worked for them as an Internet security engineer looking after a varied array of Firewalls.
At the age of 51 I retired and emigrated to Thailand where I now live with my wife Thabtim who I met on holiday in Phuket twelve years ago. We own a House in the Town of Ban Dung

We also have two plots of land on which we are currently have over 4,000 rubber trees as well as a few fruit trees and a small lake stocked with fish . The majority of trees are now being tapped after 7-8 years since their initial planting.
We also have one plot of land which is given over to rice production.
I am a qualified Scuba Diver being a PADI OWSI ( Open Water Scuba Instructor) as well as an SAA Diver Master, BSAC Advanced Diver and an IANTD advanced Nitrox diver. I previously belonged to the club C-Divers ( based in Crewe , Cheshire ). We had a 7m inboard RIB and dived mainly out of Plymouth but occasionaly in North Wales and the west coast of Scotland. All our diving was decompression diving usually in the 50-70m range looking for Shipwrecks. However where I live at the moment I couldn’t be further from the coast but I hope to take up diving again when I return for Holidays in the UK.
I am also a keen runner and Mountain Biker. Unfortunatley at the moment I have had to give up the running because of the current temperatures but I am still keeping up my mountain biking sometimes covering 100k in a day and exploring and mapping all tracks in the area.
I Intend to use this website as a record of my Life here in Thailand and to keep all my friends informed of what I am doing .
