Amphoer Phon Phisai

BANDUNGLIFE Posted on 18/11/2012 by Andrew18/11/2012

Knowing all the villages in 3 of the adjoing Amphoer I am now attempting to Undertake mapping Amphoers Phon Phisai & Charoen Sin. I started Yesterday on Phon Phisai & went through some villages I first passed through over 4 years ago when attempting to get to the Mekong.

Ban Dong Bang

I will travel up that way again but most likely start from our house in Non Prasoet which will reduce the time to get there by over  an hour . For Charoen Sin I will have to park up at the Park and head out from there. This project should keep me busy for some time & give me an incentive to get out into pastures new.

Brick Works

BANDUNGLIFE Posted on 11/11/2012 by Andrew11/11/2012

These are the Local brick Works. The Bricks are stacked in rows and then the spaces are infilled with Rice Husks. When Fired they burn slowly  and produce the small bricks used in local buildings.

Crossing point

BANDUNGLIFE Posted on 31/10/2012 by Andrew31/10/2012

Another ride to find a Bridge connecting two tracks which crosses the  River Hua Tat Hai

Despite a Twisty road I eventually found the crossing Point & continued into So Wilai.

New tracks

BANDUNGLIFE Posted on 27/10/2012 by Andrew28/10/2012

Did a couple of tracks I have knowabout for ages but never actually been down. One was a back road to Don Tat which was surprisingly concrete for most of the way then turned into a tree lined track.

Solar Power

BANDUNGLIFE Posted on 22/10/2012 by Andrew22/10/2012

This is a new Solar Power array being constructed just on the outskirts of Ban Tha Siaao. It doesn’t seem to have progressed much since I passed it months ago. Why the pannels are so High I don’t know compared to the other one neaarby.

Tour Around

BANDUNGLIFE Posted on 14/10/2012 by Andrew15/10/2012

Went for a Big circuit around ban Dung to check out my Chain & replacement rear tyre ( one of my old ones). For some reason it was tough going today & took me nearly 5 hours. Bike OK tho’
