Had a ride out to Sawang Daen Din to confirm it was market day every 19th which it is. Everybody is busy  harvesting the rice at the moment so many of the villages are quiet.

Ban Daeng

BANDUNGLIFE Posted on 13/11/2011 by Andrew15/11/2011

Another trip to Ban Daeng to vsit some more villages in Amphoe Phibunrak. I beleive I have now visited every village in the Amphoe but I could not find the name of one of them despite riding around the village twice. I will have to re-visit it some time. Got bitten by a dog on the way home near ban Na Thom. The second time in 4 years

Loy Gratong

BANDUNGLIFE Posted on 10/11/2011 by Andrew10/11/2011

Today is Loy Gratong Day when the Thais float there troubles away on small floats ( Gratongs) ordained with flowers and candles. I don’t think I will be participating this year.

Solar Power

BANDUNGLIFE Posted on 09/11/2011 by Andrew10/11/2011

With flood waters now receding I went up to Ban DonBak in Amphoe Sang Khom to look and see how a Solar Energy farm was progressing. When I arrived they were just tarmacing the previous Red din road that lead to it and the Farm seemed virtually complete.

Afetr continuing past some villages I hadn’t visited before I returned to Sang Khom and then onto Ban Non Sawa. From there I returned via another track I hadn’t used before and just outside the next village of Ban Tha Siaao I came accross another Solar Energy farm under construction.

Ban Daeng

BANDUNGLIFE Posted on 06/11/2011 by Andrew07/11/2011

Went for a ride up to Ban Daeng and onto Ban Pho to locate some more villages for my map.

Unfortunatley in the Village after Ban Pho failed to find correct road out  and ended up in the middle of nowhere cycling along a river bank before I retraced my route.

Checking afterwards it looks if I had carried on a bit further I would have emerged onto the road I was After. Something to try again another day.
