100 Mile bike Ride – UK

BANDUNGLIFE Posted on 18/07/2013 by Andrew19/07/2013

I Have Now been in the UK for 3 weeks. I got persuaded to do a cut down Version of the Cheshire cycleway – a route we did quite a few years ago over 2 days . The route took us through Weston-Audlem etc etc eventetually reaching Beeston castle before returning back to Crewe via Northwich & Middlewich. The total distance covered was approx 100m.

We did manage a Pit stop in a Pub where we had a couple of Beers and packet of crisps. The weather was also in a favour – a nice sunny day – unlike the last time we did it.

Land Clearing

BANDUNGLIFE Posted on 11/06/2013 by Andrew11/06/2013

We are currently clearing some of the Land Tim Inherited from her Late Father. Most of the Land is Rice paddies but some is overgrown with Weeds, bushes and Trees of various sizes.

This is How It used to look a few weeks ago and now how it is looking after some of the small & medium Trees have been chopped down.

When it is eventually fully cleared and ploughed  the plan is to plant Palm oil plants on it. However I doubt if it will be anytime soon.

Kitty Kat

BANDUNGLIFE Posted on 11/06/2013 by Andrew11/06/2013

I seem to Have acquired a new cat, She was living in the loft but She managed to get out under the tiles. I have called her Kitty Kat or Kitty for short. She also Has a sibling but she remains elusive.

Well if Tim Can call her dog Moo Ping ( Roast Pork) I don’t see why I can’t call a cat Kitty.

Ancient Monuments

BANDUNGLIFE Posted on 20/04/2013 by Andrew20/04/2013

I will have to have another attempt to find these Ancient Sites

Abandoned temple of brick construction in Chumchon Si Kwan Muang Moo 10 ( Ban Dung)
Ancient Moat near Thon Na Lab.
Ancient brick Pagoda near Om Ko

Mad Dogs & Englishmen

BANDUNGLIFE Posted on 10/04/2013 by Andrew13/04/2013

Still managing to get out on the Bike despite the temperatures reaching 40 degrees on some days. Unbelievably I have found a couple of new Tracks even after 5 years. There must be 1000’s of km of them in Amphoer Ban Dung Alone. One of the tracks brought me out on a Bridge I have never seen before on the outskirts on Ban Wang Thong ( Near kham Chanot)

Across from the bridge was a temple and a Sala built out over the river

The other new Track ran from the reservoir on the outskirts of Ban Non Samran to the Temple at Ban Dung Yai following the route of an irrigation channel from the reservoir.

At first it looked as though it didn’t go anywhere and was  narrow and “sandy”  in places . Towards the end houses started to appear until it emerged in the grounds of the temple.
