BANDUNGLIFE Posted on 14/12/2018 by Andrew07/10/2019

There have been a few changes on the Bar Scene lately. Bonjour ( run by Matt & Daniel) has closed indefinitely. Gary ( from Lucky Shop ) has returned to Australia with no set return date.  And finally Joy’s coffee shop (Ardens)  has been extended and the floor leveled throughout giving a lot more floor space (Photos to follow in a separate article).

Addendum: Bonjour has re-opened with only Matt running the business. The pool however remains closed.

Songkran

BANDUNGLIFE Posted on 13/04/2018 by Andrew07/05/2022

The annual Parade took place as Nornal. I caught the head of the procession at the Traffic Lights &By the time I had walked to Brian’s Bar I was at the tail end – so perhaps a bit shorter than usual.

The festivities lasted an extra day this year because it fell over the weekend. So the Monday was also a Holiday.. Click on the post to watch a short video.

Large White Elephant

BANDUNGLIFE Posted on 29/03/2018 by Andrew03/05/2022

A Large White Elephant has been Spotted between the Villages of Om Ko ( Amphoer Ban Dung) & Ban Na Din Chi ( Amphoer Sawaeng Daen Din).

This used to Be a Single track road leading to a foot bridge across the River Songkram  & continuing as a track only wide enough for motorbikes on the other side. All that was required to connect these two villages.

Now nearing completion It has over the past 12 months  been somewhat upgraded. As can be the seen the new road is Heavily used ( I was passed by at least one motorbike down its entire length of Nearly 6km ). So justifying the huge outlay it must have taken to construct.
